¡Mechóncito!

Perhaps the best part of our living situation is our live-in mascota (pet). From day one, we lovingly called him "Dreads" due to his matted, rasta-looking fur. We even asked our Spanish teacher how to say dreads in Spanish...and he became "Mechóncito," or "Little Dreads." Much to our dismay a few days later, we were greeted by a little shaved dog in a sweater. We couldn´t believe it was him! Our teacher comforted us by pointing out that he is probably much happier without the pulgas (fleas). We still greet him every day and he has come to know us well.
