After some trials and tribulations, including separate flights to Lima and fears regarding our legal entry into Peru (due to our lack of proof of onward travel), we found each other in Lima and headed onward to Cusco. This was our first view of the Andes as we descended into the "oldest continuously inhabited city in South America."
When we arrived we were welcomed by the activities coordinator of the San Blas Spanish School, who kindly got us a taxi, showed us to our apartment, and gave us a tour of the neighborhood. After 20 some hours of travel, we were happy to be greeted by sunshine and mountain air. This is the view overlooking Cusco from the street where we live.
Nice to see your digs. You sure cleaned it up well! You both are looking healthy for having traveled all those miles. OK the stray dog episode makes me ask how many fleas did you introduce yourself to? He does look cute, even in the sweater.
